Welcome to St. Cuthbert’s, a fun loving amateur dramatic society based in Darwen, Lancashire.

 

Our society was first formed in 1898, so has been, “Providing Entertainment for the Wider Community,” on and off for over 120 years!

 

As well as organising events for adults, we also encourage young people from our primary school, church organisations, local secondary schools and our community to experience being part of an award-winning performance on stage. As members of NODA we have won several cups and had even more nominations for productions over the years. 

 

Our most recent evolution began in 1998 when we performed our first pantomime of recent years - ‘Jack and the Beanstalk.’ We now perform a pantomime every year and plan other dramas, murder mysteries, theatre visits and quizzes in between. ​
